Hand Evaluation

Normal methods are used for counting points:

• High Card points (H)
• Ace.....4 points
• King....3 points
• Queen..2 points
• Jack....1 point


• Distribution points (D)
• Doubleton...1 point
• Singleton....2 points
• Void.........3 points


• Length: 1 additional point for each card in excess of 6 in any suit

The program will modify these values to take into account unprotected honours, sequences etc.
In Wbridge5, the number of high-card and distribution points is shown for each hand, together with the number of Quick Tricks
