Responses to an opening bid of 2 ♣

If the remaining 2-level openings are weak, respond:

• 2 ♦ with less than 10 HCP
• 2 ♥, 2 ♠ with at least 8 HCP and a 5-card suit
• 3 ♣, 3 ♦ with at least 10 HCP and a 6-card suit
• 2NT with at least 10 HCP

If weak twos are not employed, the 2 ♣ bid is Ace-asking. Respond:

• 2 ♦ : No Ace, less than 8 HCP
• 2 ♥, 2 ♠ : The corresponding Ace
• 2NT : No Ace, 8 plus HCP
• 3 ♣, 3 ♦ : The corresponding Ace
• 3NT : 2 Aces
• 4NT : 3 Aces
