Suit agreementSplinter bidsA jump response at the 4-level shows a vois in the suit bid and 4-card support for opener's suit. In the same way, a double jump in a new suit by opener shows a void in this suit plus 4-card support for responder's suit Truscott 2NTThe Truscott 2NT is a bid of 2NT after your partner opens the bidding with one of a suit (major or minor) and the next player makes a takeout double. It shows a good raise to the three-level or better, say 10+ points and 4-card support (5-card support if partner's suit is a minor).
