Openings up to 2NT

High Card points (HCP) can include Length points in suit openings

1 ♣ 13-21 HCP and either no biddable suit or Clubs the only one such
1 13-21 HCP and more than 3 Diamonds. If the Better Minor optional convention is implemented the suit may contain only 3 Diamonds when the distribution is 4432
  1 , 1 ♠ 13-21 HCP and at least 5 cards in the suit opened
1NT From 12-14 HCP up to 16-18 HCP (the level is optional), no 5-card major, no singleton, no 6-card minor. With a balanced hand too strong to open 1NT, and too weak to open 2NT, open 1 of a minor and jump in NT on the next round. You can opt to open with a 5-card major suit and 5332 distribution, or even with a 6-card minor and 6322
2 ♣ Requires more than 22 HCP, can be void in Clubs
2 , 2, 2 ♠ 21-22 HCP and at least a 5-card suit. Alternatively some or all of these openings can be played as weak
2NT 20-22 HCP, no 5-card major, no singleton, no 6-card minor
